Catherine Fox on ‘fixing the workplace (not the women)’

We’ve teamed up with Women in Tax, a place where women in the tax, accounting and legal professions can find practical advice, ideas and inspiration to support their career aspirations. Women in Tax is brought to you by The Tax Institute, Australia’s leading professional association and educator in tax.

Catherine Fox is one of Australia’s leading commentators on women and the workforce. An award-winning journalist, an author and presenter, she is regularly invited to address audiences around Australia and often appears in the media.

At the Women in Tax National Congress in November, Catherine spoke on ‘Fixing the workplace (not the women)’.

Based on the key themes in her book, Stop Fixing Women, she presented practical insights on how businesses can save time and money by addressing bias in workplaces’ rules and practices, instead of telling women to ‘lean in’.

Catherine also covered why the key to driving change is going to the top and getting powerful men involved in closing the gender gap and developing fairer workplaces.
